Richard III Teaching Resources

A Summary: Students can record the main events of the play as they study it.
Act 1 Scene 2 i: A series of activities on Richard and Anne's compliments and insults in this scene.
Act 1 Scene 2 ii: A simpler version of the Act 1 Scene 2 1 resource without the extension activity.
Act 4 Scene 4 i: All the questions Elizabeth asks Richard and some suggested activities. Could also be cut out and handed round for drama work on the scene.
Character connections: Photocopy on to A3. Students draw lines between the characters names to illustrate the connections.
Insults: In Act 1, Scene 2 Richard and Anne trade insults/compliments. Match them up and discuss how Richard manipulates people through language.
Quotations 2008 set scenes: Four pages of quotations from Act 1 Scene 2 and Act 4 Scene 4 for students to identify and investigate. Useful for looking at Richard's language and the way Anne and Elizabeth respond to him.
Quotation Quest: A list of 20 points for students to find the most relevant quotation to illustrate.  Extension activity to turn the points to PEAs.
Writing Your Essay: An advice sheet to help students plan their answer & identify key quotations.
